We are SpinCloud, a remote-first company building tools used by thousands of teams worldwide. Our data team is growing and we need a Principal Data Engineer to help us reach the next level. You will work alongside a senior team with high standards and a strong culture.
What You'll Do:
- Document data assets and maintain data catalog accuracy
- Design and optimize data warehouse schemas for performance
- Partner with engineering to integrate data products into the platform
- Monitor data quality and build alerting systems for anomalies
- Drive experimentation frameworks and A/B testing infrastructure
- Develop ML models and deploy them to production environments
- Collaborate with analysts and engineers to define data models
What We're Looking For:
- Strong external presence through publications, talks, or open source
- Experience shaping long-term technical vision and strategy
- 10+ years of deep expertise in your domain
- Demonstrated impact at the company or industry level
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas to all audiences
